Below is an overview of the available base models for custom builds. Generally most of the specs like e.g. wood selection, colors as well as hardware and electronics can be changed to match your personal preferences.

Okita Soundbowl
A very special custom option called “Soundbowl”, featuring a unique sound chamber and sound holes.

Based on our standard offset design model, OKITA, we have created a unique semi-hollow version. This incorporates a special bowl shaped sound chamber routed into the guitar’s body. Sound holes are created by open parts of the guitar top’s pattern above that sound chamber. The shape of the sound chamber is designed to be completely non-parallel on all sides, therefore avoiding unwanted peaks in resonance frequencies. These could cause notes to pop out louder than others, and destroying the balance of the guitar’s sound. Instead, our ‘soundbowl’ design leads to a beautiful sounding, broader impact on the overall tonal character of the guitar.
This version of the guitar is available by adding the soundbowl option to your custom build and open to all other options we offer. You can find all available options on our custom options page.
When designing your custom shop instrument with the ‘soundbowl’ option, you can also chose the color of the ‘soundbowl’ as well as the pattern and positions of the sound holes.
A non-mosaic version with bookmatched top and special hexagon design f-hole is available as well.

The heavyweight of our guitar models in terms of sound. A more standard looking 7 string guitar but with all the premium STS Guitars features.

The task at hand was to create a 7-string guitar model that does not immediately look like a 7-string and the elements all blend together nicely without being disproportional. The body shape is a double cut with a little offset. The guitar weighs 3.5kg.

FUJI
A completely new approach as a hybrid between hollowbody and electric guitar. Something new and unique.

I wanted to create a carved top hollowbody electric guitar within my design approach and philosophy. The way I approached it was to design an electric guitar that is as hollow as possible while still being balanced in terms of the weight distribution. All that is left as a result is a specially designed block under the wraparound bridge and the rest of the body is hollowed out. It is still a bolt on neck guitar with specially designed stainless steel inserts underneath the fretboard for the best connection possible between the body and the neck. The top has a relatively constant thickness of 4mm. The body shape is a slightly offset and larger single cut design.
